Support the G9 and the street kids of Nairobi

In Kenya, thousands of children live on the streets. They are orphans, abandoned, or fleeing extreme poverty. They seek comfort in the company of other young people like themselves, but soon find themselves trapped in a cycle of survival tactics, violence, alcohol, and drugs. These are children who did not choose to live this way. But today, together, we can offer them a real chance at a better life.Thanks to the Rainbow Project of the Pope John XXIII Community, we currently welcome about 20 children to the G9 Center. Here they can live a normal life: they eat, sleep, go to school, and learn to take care of themselves and others. They become children again: they play, laugh, and dream. Every afternoon, we also open our doors to children from the neighborhood: we become a community center where they can play soccer and basketball, listen to music, study, and build community.Here at the G9 Center, we have the great responsibility - and the great gift - of making them feel at home, loved, and part of a family.But this gift also needs you. Only together can we continue to open our doors and our hearts. This is the G9: part Noah’s Ark, part safe haven before setting out again, stronger than before.To provide food, medical care, hygiene supplies, and staff, we need at least 25,000 euros every year.
