Let's support the Giragirasole Center!
Fundraising by Alessia Montini
My name is Alessia, and I’ve been working as an educator at the Giragirasole Center in Fano for more than two years. The Giragirasole Center is a safe space that welcomes children and teens with disabilities every day .
It is not just an educational setting, but a place that allows them to be seen, valued, and supported on their journey of growth. It is a place that is attentive to each individual’s needs, guaranteeing the right to inclusion, participation, and the opportunity to fully express their abilities.
Here, the young people can develop their social and interpersonal skills, strengthen their independence in daily activities, gain greater self-confidence, and build meaningful relationships outside of the school and family environments.
During this time , I’ve been able to witness firsthand the value of this program , and I can attest that everyone who has passed through here— including colleagues, families, and volunteers— has recognized the importance of the work carried out every day and the progress made by the young people. All of this is made possible thanks to the presence of those who, with expertise and care, guide them on their journey.
Unfortunately, however, the center is at risk of closing in September due to a lack of funds. To ensure it remains open, we must raise €30,000 by September 18—the amount needed to cover the costs of additional educators, including one full-time staff member.
Giragirasole is a space that must be protected and supported, becauseit serves as a vital anchor for the young people, their families, and the entire community. Defending it means continuing to ensure inclusion, growth, and opportunities.
