What Operation Dove, the Nonviolent Peace Corps of the Pope John XXIII Community, does is stay.

There is no set recipe.

We leave for an area where there is war and first of all we stand by the people who suffer it, whose voices are never heard; by the people who have no choice but to live within a conflict because it is where they were born and raised, where their families live and where they feel at home.

The principle that moves us is equally simple, namely that "my life is worth as much as yours": who deserves to be abandoned because they are persecuted, attacked, discriminated against?

We feel we are part of this journey: Seba occasionally takes a flight and dives in, Sabri knows and encourages from a distance.

We both want to "build" with hands, words, dreams of nonviolence this slow, deep and sweet process that could be called Peace.
