When I was deciding whether or not to leave for Chile I confronted a friend, I had many doubts about how many volunteers there would be, the funds to carry out the project, the means, the team...all very uncertain and I kept thinking, thinking....The friend asked me bluntly, "Do you think it is important to be among these people?" and I said, "Yes," and he, again bluntly, "Then go!" I care about the struggle that I see many Mapuche do on a daily basis to defend their land and to claim their rights. When I was deciding whether or not to leave for Chile I confronted a friend, I had many doubts about how many volunteers there would be, the funds to carry out the project, the means, the team...all very uncertain and I kept thinking, thinking....

I care about the struggle that I see many Mapuche do on a daily basis to defend their land and to claim their rights. The fundraiser supports the project: In Chile alongside the Mapuche people
Total project goal: 10.000 €

The Mapuche, an indigenous people in Chile, have been persecuted and ignored for years: the State does not recognise their existence or protect their identity. Deprived of their land of origin, they are forced to fight to get it back and are therefore victims of strong repression. The Community, with volunteers, supports them in this path of claim in a peaceful and non-violent way. Support them too.
