Build Independence: support the House of the Future!

Hi, I am Francesca and I work for GRD in Faenza (Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities). I met GRD years ago, I appreciated and admired it so much right away for the young, prosthetic, respectful and professional environment! I have a brother with Trisomy 21 who at times has been a part of different activities and I have a different eye here, no longer an operator, I can assure that the welfare of the kids is always first!Every day I fill my life with the boys living in the Homes of Autonomy, experiencing step by step their every progress, success, but not only that... I savor their personal satisfaction in being empowered, respected with dignity. Here, we develop daily living skills, learn coexistence and self-determination!Each person living in these homes keeps their keys and a dream with them: to become independent.I ask for your help because these houses need maintenance, and if we can't fix them up and make them safe and adequate to the needs of the kids, we will be in more and more trouble to keep the project going. The total amount of work is 15,000€, I am sure that together we can reach this goal! That's what this fundraiser is for, to join forces and find the resources that will allow us to do the necessary work. "Why do you like living here?""Because I do it on my own.I will fight for the dream to come true!

Hi, I am Francesca and I work for GRD in Faenza (Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities). I met GRD years ago, I appreciated and admired it so much right away for the young, prosthetic, respectful and professional environment!

I have a brother with Trisomy 21 who at times has been a part of different activities and I have a different eye here, no longer an operator, I can assure that the welfare of the kids is always first!

Every day I fill my life with the boys living in the Homes of Autonomy, experiencing step by step their every progress, success, but not only that... I savor their personal satisfaction in being empowered, respected with dignity.

Here, we develop daily living skills, learn coexistence and self-determination!

Each person living in these homes keeps their keys and a dream with them: to become independent.

I ask for your help because these houses need maintenance, and if we can't fix them up and make them safe and adequate to the needs of the kids, we will be in more and more trouble to keep the project going. The total amount of work is 15,000€, I am sure that together we can reach this goal! That's what this fundraiser is for, to join forces and find the resources that will allow us to do the necessary work.

The fundraiser supports the project: I try to live alone: a project to support young people with disabilities
Total project goal: 15.000 €

"I try to live on my own" is a project that, thanks to the collaboration between GRD Faenza and the Pope John XXIII Community, offers young people with disabilities the opportunity to learn to live on their own. Now they need your help to raise the €15,000 needed for the maintenance of one of the homes made available to the young people, which has seriously deteriorated over time.
