Home sweet home for independent living!

Hi, I am Mariasole and I have been working for GRD (Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities) since 2021 as a professional educator. I started working for GRD in Faenza because of its great open-mindedness and its desire to grow within the community.Every day I live with the kids in the Homes for Autonomy touching the progress and successes that each life brings. Giving dignity to people with disabilities means empowering them and recognizing them as citizens of the world. They each have their own house keys and a dream in their heads: to live independently. In these homes we train in routine skills, togetherness and self-determination.I'm asking for your help because these houses need maintenance , and if we can't fix them up and make them safe and adequate for the kids' needs, we will be in more and more trouble to keep the project going. The total amount of work is 15,000€, I am sure that together we can reach this goal! This fundraiser was created for this very reason, to join forces and find the resources that will allow us to do the necessary work. For as many times as the children call it "my home," I will continue to fight for it to be the welcoming home they expect. You can also donate by bank transfer or postal bulletin.IBAN: IT04 X030 6909 6061 0000 0008 036POSTAL ACCOUNT: 12148417Both payable to: Pope John XXIII CommunityReason to specify: 25R010 Mariasole for Homes for Autonomy.

The fundraiser supports the project: I try to live alone: a project to support young people with disabilities
Total project goal: 15.000 €

"I try to live on my own" is a project that, thanks to the collaboration between GRD Faenza and the Pope John XXIII Community, offers young people with disabilities the opportunity to learn to live on their own. Now they need your help to raise the €15,000 needed for the maintenance of one of the homes made available to the young people, which has seriously deteriorated over time.
