At the Bethlehem Hut of Montodine we need you!

Hello everyone, I have launched this online fundraiser to help the boys at the Hut in Montodine (CR) of the Pope John XXIII Community. Some of you already know their story: they left their lives on the streets and arrived here at the Hut and found acceptance and the warmth of a family. They started living again, trying to give the same love they received. I have been sharing my life with them for 10 years now. Together with volunteers, we participate in outings to meet those still living on the streets, and we have started other activities to help those in need: every morning we collect food surpluses from supermarkets that contact us, clean and organize the goods in our cold storage and deliver them to families in the area who cannot even get groceries.Another "team" helps people in need who are under eviction to vacate their homes and recovers used furniture destined for those who do not have the ability to buy it. We are very active in the area, we are well known and many are donated to us, so we go and collect them to put them back in the homes of families who cannot make it on their own.The minibuses we use for these trips and transports are very old, over 20 years old and well over 350,000 km. That is why we urgently need two adequate vehicles for our activities: the ones we are using now are not abandoning us...just because they love us too much!With 32,000 € we will be able to buy two used minibuses, but we cannot do it alone! The Bethlehem Hut in Montodine (CR) of the Pope John XXIII Community is the home of those who once lived on the streets, where they can start a new life. The 11 people who now live here want to give back the help they received. So they collect food and surpluses from local supermarkets and deliver them to families in need. They also collect furniture that someone donates, disassemble it, transport it and reassemble it in the homes of those who do not have enough resources to buy it. Today there is an urgent need to replace the two vans used for these activities. Help them not to stop, every contribution is important!
