A short, clear, and personal text is essential for people to understand why you decided to get active with a fundraiser. The key is to speak from the heart! Only then will you be able to excite and engage friends and family in your cause.
How do I choose my fundraising goal?
To answer this question you have to ask yourself: how much can I raise through my network of acquaintances? The goal, in fact, is defined by the number of people you know and will contact. Set an achievable one; it is always best to start with a lower goal (e.g., €1,000) and then raise it later.
Once I set the fundraising goal, can I later change it?
The fundraising goal can be changed at any time (as can the collection deadline) by logging into your personal area with the data you entered during registration. For example: you entered a goal and after a very few days you have almost reached it? Raise it and take advantage of this wave of generosity!
After creating the fundraiser and user profile, will it be possible to make changes?
Once your fundraiser is active, you will be able to make changes whenever you want by logging into your personal area: you can change the text, add photos or a video, publish a post, and monitor the progress of your fundraiser via the "control panel" button.
How can I use the "publish a post" feature?
Once you have activated and launched your fundraiser, you will find the "publish a post" button when you log into your personal area. Use this feature to publish a thank you post that will be automatically emailed to all donors who have supported your fundraiser so far; or publish a post to update your network on the progress of the project. Take advantage of these posts to always solicit word of mouth!
Will my fundraiser be immediately visible online?
Once you have completed the collection creation form and your user profile, your fundraiser will be in moderation for a final check. As soon as you receive the successful activation email, you can start spreading the fundraiser to your contacts.
How can I upload a video about my fundraiser?
On Dai Ci Stai it is not possible to upload videos directly. In order to post them you will need to first upload them to Youtube or Vimeo and then copy and paste the link in the field provided. Videos are a great tool to engage your network and get them to understand the importance of your cause.
I created the fundraiser, now how do I engage my friends to ask them to donate?
The most important thing is to get your network to understand why you have decided to take personal action with a fundraiser. First, make a list of 30 to 40 people and tell them what you are doing and why. You can do this with a phone call, video, audio, or over dinner! The link is the last thing you will need to send and you can use the share buttons on the page to do this. Tell, involve and finally invite to donate! Asking for money is never easy but you are doing it for a good cause.
